Hi All,

Just a reminder about tomorrow at 9:00 AM, work on The Fair Gigs…

Mike told me that the Snare sectional was outstanding last night, so
bummed I missed that one, Tom did a great job of breaking things down,
this is how to build the line! I for one have found that I am gripping
to tight and playing way too loud, I can’t wait for next weeks
sectional, thank you Tom!!!

After the Madera Fair gig I am thinking we will go back to a two a
month or once a month and the sectionals will be where we work to get
better as a line.

Madera gig changes….Only my thoughts, I am open to any suggestions
tomorrow, this is OUR show, not mine.

The avaunt guard section at the very beginning: Only one solo from
each section, Mitch, Taylor and Eric, this section will start two
minutes prior to the actual start time, it was too long.

Grove solo section: The groove is OK, but I think we can something
better, I am think like Bluecoats Twitch, we will work something out
together, also, we will need to minimize the solo’s over the top of
the groove, it just goes on too long with everybody doing one, each
solo only four bars and the next person needs to jump right in, or
something like this, we will figure it out.

Hanbone: Think we we need to start the three center snares at once,
this way the first tenor player and bass drum could start with the
snares, than we add two snares and another tenor and bass drummer,
last two snares and last tenor player and bass drummers to the end.
Also, thinking we remover the breaks between each tempo change, so
when each person comes in the tempo is set and we speed up til the
next players come in. Also, we need to make sure not to speed this up
too fast.

Again, these are only my thoughts, we will discuss and fix tomorrow,
we will also need to get a good idea of the timing.

Great job everybody and I appreciate all of the extra effort put into
this, we want to be great for these fair gigs, this is something that
could become our yearly thing, what we strive for each year.
